Celebrities among those fleeing their homes due to California wildfires

Well known celebrities are among the hundreds of thousands of people who have been forced to evacuate their homes due to California’s raging wildfires.

“If you are in an evacuation zone, don’t screw around. Get out,” tweeted former California governor and movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger. “Right now I am grateful for the best firefighters in the world, the true action heroes who charge into the danger to protect their fellow Californians. ##GettyFire”

His ex, former news anchor Maria Shriver, also had to leave her home.

“So grateful to our firefighters putting their lives on the line for all of us,” read her tweet. “We have evacuated, but we’re safe. Praying for our neighbors.” 

Actress Kristin Davis posted a photo of flames against an orange sky with the message “This is what we woke up too (sic). We are safe- children and dogs, thank you @@LAFDwest and please everyone leave if you are in (evacuation) area. Stay safe”

NBA star LeBron James tweeted about having to leave the area also and said he had “no luck” finding a place to stay, to which actor Ryan Phillippe replied “same”.
