Chicago, IL, United States (4E) – Chicago Police on Tuesday conducted a welfare check on R. Kelly’s girlfriends after receiving information that the girls were attempting to carry out a “suicide pact.”

Azriel Clary, one of Kelly’s girlfriends, was said to be at the Trump Tower where she allegedly planned to carry out a suicide pact together with four other women who identified themselves as victims of the singer.

The information came from an anonymous call. No further information was given regarding the suicide pact and the specific number of condo unit Clary was staying in. Chicago Police Department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said that the call came from California, E News reports.

When police arrived at Kelly’s Trump Tower apartment, they were met by the singer’s lawyer who told police that no one in the unit made the 911 call. Guglielmi added that when police officers asked to enter the apartment, they were denied entry as they did not have a warrant to enter and search the premises.

The police concluded that the distress call was unfounded and there was no real harm present.

Clary, 21, previously appeared on ‘CBS This Morning’ with Jocelyn Savage, Kelly’s other girlfriend. The two women were interviewed by Gayle King. During their discussion, they defended the singer and denied that Kelly brainwashed them into leaving their families, People reports.

The parents of both Clary and Savage claim that are being held hostage by Kelly and are part of what they describe as the singer’s alleged “sex cult.”

In the interview, Clary told King that her parents are telling lies to the media to extort money from Kelly.
