Paris, France (4E) – Chris Brown was released from custody on Tuesday after being detained in Paris on allegations of rape, but the accuser’s camp still insists that the singer abused the victim sexually and psychologically.
In a statement with The Associated Press, attorney Franck Serfati, who represents the 23-year-old accuser, claimed that Brown cornered her inside a locked room where he proceeded with engaging in non-consensual sex with her. The lawyer said that although brown and his two male companions did not do anything physical to pressure her into having sex with him, she felt “great psychological pressure” before Brown raped her.
“There were forced sexual relations and then he went to talk to other men—it was a masculine environment,” Serfati told the outlet. He added that his client insisted she did not consent to having sex with the singer and that she was psychological pressured into doing so.
His client also said that when Brown left the room, the singer’s bodyguard and friend, both of whom were also accused of rape, assaulted her on different hotel room of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. She also narrated that she was taken to a suite where there were about 15 girls and five or six men taking turns having cocaine. She was also allegedly forced to participate in taking the drugs before she was locked inside Brown’s room.
Brown has released a statement regarding the accusations, saying that the whole story is false and that she would never do anything disrespectful. “For my daughter and my family this is so disrespectful and is against my character and morals,” the singer said in an Instagram post that has since been deleted.
The singer was released on Tuesday and is challenging the charges against him. Raphael Chiche, Brown’s lawyer, told USA Today that they will be filing a complaint against the accuser.
