Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – US President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, have been nominated for The 39th Golden Raspberry Awards. Also known as the Razzies, this award giving-body recognizes the year’s worst films.

The Trump were nominated for their appearance in the documentary film “Death of a Nation: Can We Save America a Second Time” and “Fahrenheit 11/9”.

Donald Trump was nominated in the Worst Actor category together with Bruce Willis for “Death Wish”, John Travolta for “Gotti”, Johnny Depp for “Sherlock Gnomes” and Will Ferrell for “Holmes & Watson”.

Melania, on the other hand, is nominated for the Worst Actress category. Her contenders include Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway who appeared as herself in “Fahrenheit 11/0”; Marcia Gay Harden for “Fifty Shades Freed”, Jaz Sinclair for “Slender Man” and Kelly Preston for “Gotti”.

Dinesh D’Souza’s “Death of a Nation” was also nominated in the worst screenplay and worst remake/ripoff/sequel categories.

This is the second time Trump was nominated for a Razzie. In 1991, he was nominated for Worst Supporting Actor for portraying himself in the romantic comedy “Ghosts Can’t Do It”, Vanity Fair reported. Trump won the award, but did not accept it in person, so it’s likely he won’t be appearing at the event if ever he wins.

In “Ghosts Can’t Do It”, Trump starred alongside Bo Derek. John Oliver talked about the film in “Last Week Tonight”, commenting that Trump’s “kissy face” is the most “disgusting thing” he’s seen in a movie.

This year’s Golden Raspberry Awards ceremony will be held on February 23.
