London, United Kingdom (4E) – Looks like British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has found the love for him and dove right into marriage as he tied the knot with his high school sweetheart Cherry Seaborn in a top secret winter wedding.

Reports have surfaced that the ‘Thinking Out Loud’ singer got married away from the glare of flashing lights and pesky paparazzi way back before Christmas of 2018. Him and Seaborn were married at his country estate in Suffolk despite his plans to build a wedding chapel on the site being rejected.

The Evening Standard reported early last year that Sheeran submitted his plans to build a chapel made of flint, saxon style, with a rounded tower to the Suffolk Coastal District Council but was rejected due to environmental concerns

That didn’t stop the ‘Shape of You’ crooner to get hitched as The Sun confirmed. According the the news outlet Sheeran invited only his family and old school friends to the ceremony and was entirely free of celebrities like his A-list friends Taylor Swift, Courtney Cox, The Weeknd, John Mayer or Rita Ora. The guest list was made up of only 40 people including the priest.

The couple have been dating since 2015 but their romance dates back from high school— meeting at only 11 years old. Sheeran became the star that he is now and writing very good wedding reception music while Seaborn played hockey for Duke University and earned her degree in Molecular Biology.

From 2002 to 2015, the pair met up again at New York where Sheeran was performing and Seaborn working at Wall Street on one of his shows. Both were invited to Taylor Swift’s Fourth of July Party and officially rekindled their love affair.

Sheeran’s song ‘Perfect’ (with a version featuring a Beyoncé duet) was inspired by Seaborn.
