A daredevil dubbed the ‘French Spider-Man’ is facing fines after getting nabbed Saturday for climbing a 500-foot tower in Germany.

Alain Robert, who earned the moniker for climbing buildings all over the world, including in places like Spain and Japan, reportedly accomplished the feat quickly but didn’t utilize safety equipment and didn’t have the OK from authorities to attempt the stunt.

German police quickly detained Robert once he returned to the ground and he now faces fines for his actions at the “Skyper” tower in the German city of Frankfurt.

It marks 25 years of such efforts by Robert, including his climb of a Hong Kong building last month as he unfurled a “peace” banner in the city that has held pro-Democracy protests throughout the summer, despite a government ban.
