London, United Kingdom (4E) – Gordon Ramsey and his wife Tana Ramsey are celebrating an Oscar win—the birth of their newborn son, that is.
The celebrity chef and his wife have welcomed their fifth child, who they named Oscar James Ramsay. Ramsay made the announcement on Thursday through an adorable Instagram post containing photos of himself with his wife and their bouncing baby boy.
“After 3 baftas and one Emmy … finally we have won an Oscar, please welcome Oscar James Ramsay, who touched down at 12:58 today for some lunch!” Ramsay captioned his post.
The birth of the Ramsay couple’s fifth son comes two years after they suffered a miscarriage in 2016. According to New Zealand Herald, their unborn son, who they named Rocky, died five months into the pregnancy.
The ‘Masterchef’ star then opened up about how the loss of their child brought them closer than ever as a family.
“You realize how lucky you are and you reflect on what you have, how fortunate you are with our remaining children and you remind yourself of what you’ve got,” Ramsay said, adding it’s made them an even tighter unit.
Gordon and Tana have four other children, Matilda, Jack, Holly, and Meghan. All four of them appeared on the BBC reality show ‘Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch’, which chronicles the life of the Ramsays during their summer holidays.
