Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Justin Bieber is taking a break from music to focus on his mental health and repair some deep rooted issues.
The singer explained in a lengthy Instagram post that his primary focus right now is taking care of himself and his mental health after spending so much of his youth making music and touring the globe. He reflected on his music career, which began when he was still a teenager. The post was in response to fans who’ve been asking him to release a new album.
“I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour,” the 25-year-old wrote.
Following the release of his ‘Purpose’ album in 2015, Bieber embarked on a year-long world tour. However, he had to end his tour early and cancel some shows due to “unforeseen circumstances,” CNN reported. He later explained that that he was going through something, but is eager to fix things so that he can have a sustainable life and career.
He continued that while music is very important to him, his family and health are his main priorities. He said that he very focused on repairing deep rooted issues that he has so that he doesn’t “fall apart” and so that he can “sustain his marriage” and be the father that he wants to be.
He assured fans, however, that when he’s ready he will come back with a “kick ass album.”
Bieber has been very open about his personal struggles with depression and anxiety. He recently revealed that he is seeking treatment and is focused on getting better.
