Las Vegas, NV, United States (4E) – Lady Gaga addressed US President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence in a fiery speech on Saturday during her show in Las Vegas. The “A Star is Born” actress took the time to speak about the government shutdown and how it is affecting the lives of many people.

In the middle of her performance of “Million Reasons”, the singer paused for a while and said, “If the f— president of the United States could please put our government back… there are people who live paycheck to paycheck and need their money.”

She then directed her message to Pence, saying it’s wrong of him to think that it’s acceptable for his wife to work at a school that discriminates against LGBT children, Billboard reported. She added that Pence is the “worst representation of what it means to be a Christian” because as a Christian woman Gaga believes that Christianity bears “no prejudice and everybody is welcome.”

Pence’s wife, Karen, recently accepted a part-time teaching position at Immanuel Christian School, a private K-8 school located in Springfield, Virginia. According to The Washington Post, the school requires applicants for employment to reject gay marriages, as one section in the application requires applicants to agree that “marriage” is an act uniting man and woman in a “single, exclusive covenant union as delineated in Scripture.”

The vice president has commented on the negative reaction that his wife’s new employment is getting. He said in an interview with Eternal Word Television Network that that seeing “major news organizations attacking Christian education, is deeply offensive to us.”

This is not the first time Pence is being scrutinized for his anti-LGBTQ views. In 2015, he was criticized for signing the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, a bill which were viewed by some as discriminatory against the LGBTQ community.
