Lady Gaga Launching Makeup Brand on Amazon

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Lady Gaga is building his own makeup brand and it will be launched exclusively through Amazon.

The acclaimed singer-actress’ Haus Laboratories will be the first major cosmetics brand that will be launched by Amazon. The online retail giant will roll out Gaga’s makeup collection in September and will be available in nine countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, France, and Germany.

“When we made this film, I really wanted that feeling of self-discovery and self-acceptance and really loving who you are in a way that may be completely unconventional,” Gaga told Business of Fashion about the concept of her brand.

As to why she chose to partner with Amazon, the ‘A Star is Born’ actress said that other companies would have wanted to tailor her brand to fit their corporate image, whereas Amazon was fully supportive of her brand and what it stood for.

“[The deal with Amazon] was so wonderful because this was like ‘Let’s make a deal, let’s make a deal to change the world with their beauty.'”

Haus Laborites is also supported by Lightspeed Ventures Partners, which also known for investing in Gwyneth Paltrow’s “modern lifestyle brand” Goop.

Gaga’s makeup line was inspired by her early days as an aspiring singer shopping for drugstore makeup in New York. Thus, Haus Laboratories hopes to appeal to a wide range of people with items such as multi-purpose sticks for eyes, lips, and cheeks that will be sold for $49 apiece.
