Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Actor Macaulay Culkin explains his often talked about friendship with pop singer Michael Jackson.

He recalls befriending the King of Pop when he was only ten years old when he reached out to him in 1990. He talked about the relationship being typically normal on an episode of “Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum”, a podcast released on Tuesday.

Culkin says that Jackson reached out to him and became fast friends because they could relate to each other having found fame when they were still young. Culkin became a star when he appeared, as Kevin Mcallister in ‘Home Alone’ and ‘Hone Alone 2′ while Jackson became a pop sensation with his brothers’ band, the Jackson Five.

“I mean, at the end of the day, it’s almost easy to try say it was like weird or whatever, but it wasn’t, because it made sense,” Culkin said. “At the end of the day, we were friends.”

The ‘Richie Rich’ actor found the pop star to be relatable and they treated each other like normal persons in their world of fame and celebrity. Culkin describes Jackson as sweet, funny, hilarious, gentle and generous.

Their friendship has always raised eyebrows since Jackson was found guilty of molesting a thirteen year old in 2005. Four years later, he was found dead in his apartment of drug overdose, shocking the world.

Culkin goes on to explain that despite their 22 year gap and the allegations against Jackson, that the latter did not molest him as a child. He revealed that he never saw Jackson act improperly with anybody.
