Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Mariah Carey filed a recent suit against her former employee Lianna Azarian for allegedly secretly recording her doing embarrassing things and threatened to release the footage if the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer didn’t pay her $8 million. The alleged blackmail began in November 2017.

The diva fired Azarian in 2017 as her executive assistant when the latter used her credit card for personal purchases and would use her name to the stores she would buy from to get discounts. Azarian was employed in 2015 and was making $327,000 annually according to legal documents from Carey’s camp.

Carey wants the footages of her returned and damages costing $3 million.

As a rebuttal, Azarian filed a counter suit against the songstress alleging abuse. She alleges that Carey’s ex-manger Stella Bulochnikov physically abused her by slapping her breasts and buttocks and urinated on her. Furthermore, verbal abuse was also done with Bulochnikov calling her racist expletives and told her that she was an ‘American whore.’ Se claims in her legal documents that she was being demanded to do certain things at unreasonably deadly hours and deadlines.

Entertainment Tonight reports that Azarian’s claims include wrongful termination, retaliation, failure to prevent discrimination and harassment, breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing, racial discrimination, sexual harassment, failure to pay earned wages upon termination, breach of oral contract, rescission of contract, violation of the Bane Act, violation of the Unruh Civil Rights Act, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and battery.

Azarian claims that throughout her experience of abuse, Carey witnessed most of them but did not do anything to prevent it. It was through her personal complaint to the singer that got her terminated. Azarian has formerly filed a complaint against Carey five months after she was fired.

Stella Bulochnikov and Carey also settled a sexual harassment suit against each other recently.
