Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Paris Jackson, daughter of the late Michael Jackson, has checked into rehab to seek treatment to improve her “emotional health”.

A source close to the 20-year-old model told People that Jackson has decided to “take some time off to reboot, realign and prioritize her physical and emotional health” after a busy year of engagements and projects all over the globe.

The source added that Jackson “checked herself into the treatment facility to aid her wellness plan.” She is also looking forward to coming out of rehab revitalized and ready to take on the new projects that await her.

Jackson has been open about her struggle with anxiety. In an interview with Rolling Stone, she revealed that she tried to kill herself when she was 15 years old by cutting her wrists and taking 20 Motrin pills.

“It was just self-hatred,” Jackson said. “Low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn’t do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore.” She hid the self-harm from her family for years. Now, her scars are covered with tattoos.

She also admitted that she attempted to commit suicide “multiple times”. However, after her last attempt, she insisted on attending a residential therapy program to address her problems.

Her last suicide attempt became public after she was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles with cuts on her wrists. Her mother, Debbie Rowe, confirmed the incident to Entertainment Tonight. Rowe said that her daughter went through a lot at that time.

Jackson has had a prolific modeling career since she started in 2017. She is currently signed with IMG Models, which also represents Gisele Bündchen, Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, and Victoria’s Secret Angels Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, and Lily Aldridge.
