Rihanna Launches Luxury Clothing Line Fenty In Paris

Paris, France (4E) – Rihanna has now expanded her brand Fenty to include a luxury clothing line, which she recently launched in Paris in partnership with French luxury collective LVMH.

The launch of the Fenty took place at its pop-up store in Paris’ trendy Marais district and was attended by many notable people in the fashion industry, including Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing and Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The Fenty pop-up store in Paris will officially open on May 24, while the online launch will take place on May 29.

Fenty is the latest in Rihanna’s growing list of business ventures, joining her hugely successful cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty as well as her lingerie line Savage X Fenty. This, however, is her first venture into the luxury fashion market.

“My fashion will be different and non-traditional, because I do not come from this industry,” the singer said in a news conference, Reuters reported.

The brand finds itself in good company under the LVMH umbrella, which also houses Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Fendi and Dior.

Contrary to other LVMH brands, Fenty products, however, will be sold at significantly lower prices. The price range for a dress will be from 600 euros to 800 euros. Sandals are priced at around 500 euros, while costume jewelry are sold at 300 euros apiece.

The brand will later on be available in other regions, including the United States and Asia.

Rihanna’s partnership with LVMH is expected to draw in younger customers. The collective is also expected to benefit from the singer’s social media influence, particularly in Instagram where she has over 70.5 million followers.
