Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – ‘Game of Thrones’ star Sophie Turner recently opened up about her sexuality and experimenting.
Turner sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone together with co-star Maisie Williams, with whom she’s shared a special bond ever since their chemistry read for ‘Game of Thrones’ in 2009. At that time Turner was still 13 and Williams was 12, and they became best friends at the get-go.
Fast forward, Turner revealed that she’s had several experiences, which has led her to believe that she’s now a more mature person. “I’ve met enough guys to know — I’ve met enough girls to know. I don’t feel 22. I feel like 27, 28,” she said about her experiences in terms of relationships.
She added that experimenting is a part of growing up. “I love a soul, not a gender,” she explained.
Turner is engaged to Joe Jonas, who is six years her senior. Their engagement was confirmed in October 2017 when they both announced the news on their respective social media accounts. Turner was still 21 at the time. She explained that prior to meeting Jonas, she was already preparing herself to be single for the rest of her life. That all changed when Jonas came.
“I think once you’ve found the right person, you just know,” Turner said about Jonas.
Her revelation, however, caused a subtle debate on Twitter. Some argued that although Turner came out, she didn’t expressly reveal how she identifies herself as. Fans defended Turner, saying while it may be true that she didn’t exactly label herself, she doesn’t have to nor does she have to explain her preferences to the public.
